WordPress for BlackBerry 1.4.6 beta
Finally a new build is ready for beta testing!
Lots of changes were made under the hood and this is the reason you haven’t seen any update for a while. We thought that security matters, so most of the changes affect the overall app security: We are now using a completely different, strongly encrypted storage model. To make the transition smooth we haven’t added any new features yet. New features will be released in the future. This is the good, the bad is that you might have to re-add your blogs/sites, as well as reconfiguring the app. Draft posts will not be erased, so once you have re-added a blog your old drafts should become available again.
Other changes include:
- Improved the communication layer.
- You can now select which type of the Media API that should be used for uploading photos and videos.
- Fix for VideoPress issue when uploading multiple videos #181.
- Fix for app permission issues that could freeze the app if all permissions are not set to Allow #179.
- Fix for postID that are bigger than the XML-RPC specification #180.
- Improved the XML-RPC calls.
- Improved the preview screen, which is now using the BlackBerry browser or any browser installed on your device.
- Fix for post/page comments setting that allow people to post comments on new articles created using the app #163.
- Other minor changes.

When i installed it (after the v1.4.5.1), I lost all my configured accounts.
If I add my wp.com account first, I can’t add new accounts (self hosted wp) anymore (via the menu entry).
If I add my self-hosted WP blog first, I only can add my wp.com account via the account manager, but not via the menu.
(self hosted WP 3.1)
But nice work, i’ll continue to use it a lot !

that’s very weird. I can add blogs in any order to the app.

There is no new screen when i select this menu entry.
No error in WP4BB.
In the BB EventLog, there is an error :
S JavaException – ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException
I can send you the full EventLog (mail me).
